Internet pharmacies are becoming increasingly popular, but you should be careful when purchasing your pets’ medications online. A legal online pharmacy will always be licensed by our state. You can find out if the online pharmacy you are considering is licensed by checking our state’s website. It’s important for you to verify their license because illegal online pharmacies have been known to sell medicines that are counterfeit, outdated, mislabeled, incorrectly formulated, or improperly made or stored. But sometimes the internet isn’t the best answer. As your pet’s doctor, we want the best for both you and your pet. We know your pet’s medical history and which medications are appropriate for your pet. We’ll also make sure you understand how to give your pet the medication. And we’re here to help if you have any questions or problems. So do your homework, and make sure the decision you make will result in a happy, healthy pet.
When purchasing your pet medications through Birdneck Animal Hospital, you can be assured that every step of the process is under the quality control of Dr. Johnson. At every level of the refill process, from the receipt of a request for a refill, to fulfilling the reorder and packaging of the product, all steps of the process are executed by the friendly and competent staff you know personally at our hospital, and not a third party.
Internet pharmacies are not always the cheapest source for medication. Our price for most items is often the same as or less than most internet pharmacies. Pharmaceutical manufacturers will only honor product guarantees when the medications are prescribed by and purchased from the pet's veterinarian. Internet and mail-order catalogs do not qualify for these guarantees.
Any prescription medication purchased from our hospital has been inspected and approved by the FDA, and manufactured and packaged according to U.S. government regulations. Medications purchased online at major Internet pharmacies may have been purchased outside the United States and have different strengths and labeling than U.S. products.
Remember, Birdneck Animal Hospital dispenses only those products we believe to be the best for your pet.
