The Birdneck Animal Hospital would like to commend the Ambrosino Family for going above and beyond to save a kitten's life. Here is their story:
Aaron Ambrosino, son of long time clients of the Birdneck Animal Hospital, found a stray kitten. This tiny kitten was clearly afflicted with a very serious eye condition, if not blind. Unable to leave the kitten behind, Aaron took this sweet kitty home and brought it to the Birdneck Animal Hospital. The kitten was diagnosed with a severe upper respiratory infection and eyes so infected they were in danger of rupturing. This kitty needed to be seen by an eye specialist immediately. While many people would recognize commitment to an uphill battle with an uncertain medical outcome, and costly vet bills for a stray animal to be financially unrealistic, the Ambrosino Family were undeterred in their commitment to do whatever needed to give this kitten a chance.
They took the kitten to the veterinary eye specialists.
At this time, the kitten named "Princess" is under the ongoing care of eye specialists as well as Dr. Johnson. Princess is currently on a course of treatment using medications in hopes that the eye most afflicted can be saved, and not removed.
It is with most certainty that Princess's life has been saved due to the commitment of this family to take her off the streets and give her the intensive medical attention she needs. Way to go Ambrosino Family!
