Tyrael
Tyrael chose us as his parents when he first saw us in 2016. His adventures started young when he endured a fractured leg and a torn CCL all before he was barely a year old. Despite his early injuries, he loves the vet team that cares for him. He first discovered fetch with a plush snowball at about 7 months old; this translated to tennis balls and Tyrael has been obsessed with fetch ever since. He also has a special place for the beach. Digging in the sand, swimming in the water, and fetching for hours in the water are his favorite pastimes. Tyrael is literally the sweetest, best boy we could ask for.
Auriel
Auriel joined our family as Tyrael’s sister when she was about 8 months old. She came from a challenging lifestyle outdoors to a cozy living indoors. She had seemed immediately grateful for the multiple flea-ridding baths, the warm fuzzy blankets, the endless treats, the toys, the doggie brother, and the new family. She even enjoyed a spoiling grandma right off the bat. When we weren’t sure if she was staying with us, she practically demanded that she stayed with us. And with that, she has become the most loving, cuddly sweetheart. She may have her challenges, but we enjoy working on them with her forever and always.
Artemis
Artemis chose me on an early morning in PetSmart at a VBSPCA adoption center. She put her paw on the glass, as if to say “I choose you, I know you will love me.” I melted immediately and put the adoption papers in. As a very young kitty mom, she had already gone through so much at barely a year old. She had then experienced medical challenges during the initial year of joining our family. We had gotten through it together and we are the better for it. Through moves and family changes, she has continued to become the most wonderful girl. She has become even more cuddly over the years and continues to hone her ninja skills around the house.
Maia
Maia was rescued during an evening storm in 2014 when she was found abandoned on a stranger’s deck. A gentleman had found her, he was going to just drop her off on a shelter’s door step that night, so I quickly stepped in and picked her up from him before she was abandoned again. At only ~3 weeks old, Maia came home with me in my sweater. Her new surprised dad was claimed by Maia when she peed, pooped, and threw up on him during the first two days. They have been inseparable ever since. Maia has become the cutest little bush dweller who enchants us with her presence every day.
Orzo
In 2021, Orzo was in a Petsmart VBSPCA adoption center and his sibling was already adopted, leaving him by himself. Orzo put his small little kitten paw on the glass when Justin was walking by the adoption center with a friend. Justin’s hand met Orzo’s paw and it was an immediate connection. The adoption papers were put in that day. Orzo joined our little family and brought all the personality and energy with him. He easily took a liking to harnesses and sweaters which worked great for his discovered curiosity of outdoor adventures. Half the time he thinks he’s one of the dogs and greets us alongside them. He is our little troublemaker who keeps us on our toes and brightens our lives every day.
